During the WOMAD Cáceres festival, we took a significant step forward in the portable sanitation sector for events by implementing, for the first time, a QR code-based solution designed to considerably improve the attendee experience.
This project represents an important milestone in our journey, integrating digital technology into the management of sanitation infrastructure at large-scale events.
QR Technology Applied to Portable Sanitation
During WOMAD Cáceres, we incorporated QR codes into our portable toilet cabins, allowing users to easily access, from their mobile phones, an interactive map showing the exact location of all portable sanitation units installed throughout the event.
Thanks to this innovation, we achieved:
- Easier and faster location of available sanitation units
- Improved attendee orientation throughout the venue
- Reduced search times during peak attendance periods
- Optimized user flow distribution
With this solution, we transformed an essential service into a more accessible, connected, and efficient experience, aligned with the evolving needs of large-scale events.

To ensure the success of this initiative, we carried out an extensive deployment of portable sanitation units across the entire WOMAD Cáceres venue, strategically covering the festival’s main areas.
We installed a high number of units with the goal of ensuring:
